Welcome to The Refuge! This home is beautifully updated with amazing views and within walking distance to the lake. The Refuge sleeps 10 (ten) and has plenty of parking for all of your guests in the horseshoe driveway. As you pull in you will see the double decks with an entrance into the first floor. Walking in you will find plenty of space to unload all of your belongings with quick access to the 3 (three) downstairs bedrooms and 1 (one) full bathroom. Bedrooms one and two each have a queen size bed, bedroom three has a full bed and a twin over twin bunk bed. Laundry access is also available on the first floor. Walk up the stairs and find your way to a spacious open living area and kitchen. The living room has plenty of seating for your entire group to gather as well as a small area with kids toys for the smaller members of the group. (The stairs also have a gate installed so no worrying about the little ones playing). Also offered is a small desk with a chair for anyone who still needs to plug in for a bit during their stay. The large, open kitchen has everything you need to make delicious, home cooked meals with family and friends. The dining table is large with chairs and benches and there is also extra seating at the bar. Don't worry, the owners supplied a regular coffee maker and an espresso machine for the coffee lovers of the group. Wake up, grab a cup, and head out on to the deck to enjoy the beautiful sunrise and majestic lake views as the day starts. There is also a propane grill located on the upper deck. On the main floor you will also find another bedroom with a queen size bed. In the closet there is a pack-n-play for the little ones. The upstairs bathroom has a full tub/shower combo and is off of the main living area for easy access. First floor - 2 queens, 1 full, 2 twins (bunk bed) Main floor - 1 queen While staying at The Refuge you will have access to the amenities offered at the resort such as the heated indoor pool, fitness center, and restaurant. Want to be outside in nature? Alpine has you covered with hiking and biking trails, a stocked lake for fishing, a beach area, kayaks and canoes, a basketball court, mini golf, an 18-hole golf course, and more. This home is located minutes away from several state parks, cross country ski trails, and is within close proximity to the Wisp Resort and Canaan Valley area. Enjoy all the activities that this area has to offer including whitewater rafting and downhill skiing. You won't want to miss the waterfalls at Swallow Falls State Park or the beauty of the Cranesville Swamp. The town of Oakland is located within 15 minutes and features several restaurants and a quaint downtown shopping area. Please read before booking: Supplies - please note the property only comes equipped with linens, wash clothes, towels and dishes. All other supplies including; dish soap, sponge, shampoo, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper are NOT provided. The guest will need to supply their own during the entire stay Minimum age requirement and driver's license check - The renter must be at least 23 years old at the time of the booking and must be present during the entire stay. This is strictly enforced. A valid driver's license will be required and requested for all bookings. Failure to meet the minimum age requirement or provide a valid driver's license will result in eviction and the cancellation of the booking with NO refund. No Smoking of any kind is permitted in the property. If any signs of smoking or vaping are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $200.00 penalty fee. This cabin is NOT pet friendly.
